PRE GATI
I kept each of my circles at the same size and near each other due to prior practice with technology and education. I am very passionate about wanting to make my future classroom technology ready and savvy. Another reason to my placement and size choice is the fact that I took EDEL 320 (teaching with writing) with Dr. Mia Williams and Dr. Suzette Youngs. The professors conducted a course that went hand in hand with technology. During the course of the class, I also created my own circle diagram at the beginning and the end of the semester. By experiencing a whole course centered on including technology in writing, I gained an immense of amount of understanding and my love for technology bloomed even more. I feel that I can always improve and learn more and that’s the simple reason as to why each circle is in the same area. Of course, I feel that I can improve my current TPACK. I hope to improve the relationship between all three areas and gain more ideas for technology in the classroom.
POST GATI
After taking ET 347, I have gained a little bit more knowledge about the integration of technology in the classroom. But, I still have the same exact circle size in my GATI that is the second from the largest circles for each one. This is because I feel that I can always learn more and I see the largest circles as “all-knowing” circles. I also tried to create the same overlapping style as the pre reflection because I feel that I have the same amount of knowledge across the board for technology, pedagogy, and content knowledge. It’s important to know that there is always more to learn. As far as my future teaching practice goes, this showcases my opinion that there is always more to learn in each and every area. I will always look to improve my technology, pedagogy, and content knowledge.
